Energy Systems Catapult was set up to accelerate the transformation of the UK’s energy system and ensure businesses and consumers capture the opportunities of clean growth on the way to Net Zero.

The Living Lab is a network of volunteers who help Energy Systems Catapult understand how energy is used in real UK homes. I was contracted to improve the Living Lab’s website where participants can connect their smart home tech and sign up for trials and offers.

During my time with Living Lab, I was also designing simulated consumer bills for EV charging and a heating controller app for an in-market trial run by a producer of thermal storage heat batteries.

Additionally, I helped the team improve their internal product design process.
