Sony’s VOD offering was fragmented, costly to maintain and didn’t live up to user expectations in an increasingly competitive landscape.
I was engaged to conduct a review of the Sony Crackle video-on-demand App and to develop a design strategy for Sony’s global VOD Product portfolio. The initial engagement lead to a re-design of the Sony Crackle TV App and an offer to relocate to Los Angeles.
Spearheaded by the successful re-launch of the TV App, the re-design of the website and mobile apps followed. The result was a significant increase in user visits and satisfaction. Subsequently, the Sony Crackle UXD framework was used as a foundation for a re-design of Sony’s international OTT channel websites.
